The $2.50 Indian Head Gold Quarter Eagle is an iconic United States coin, minted between 1908 and 1915, and then again from 1925 through 1929. It belongs to the Indian Head Gold Coin series alongside the Half-Eagle ($5) and Eagle ($10) coins, designed during a period when the U.S. Mint was introducing more artistic, modern styles of coinage.
